Impressario includes 22 additional Adobe type 1 fonts, bringing your total to 35 system fonts. These fonts are installed automatically when you install the Impressario software.
Impressario also includes font installation tools; see “Installing Additional Fonts”.
All 35 fonts and any additional fonts that you add with the font installation tools are available to all Display PostScript and X and GL programs through the Silicon Graphics, Inc. Font Manager.
Once Impressario is installed, your system has 35 standard Adobe Type 1 fonts:

These fonts are installed on your system in the directory /usr/lib/DPS/outline/base. In addition, the font metric files for these fonts are installed in the directory /usr/lib/DPS/AFM.
You can install additional Type 1 fonts on your system. Impressario has access to these fonts if the following conditions are met:
The fonts are in Adobe Type 1 format.
The outlines for the fonts are located in the directory /usr/lib/DPS/outline/base.
The font metric files are located in the directory /usr/lib/DPS/AFM.
Impressario provides two font installation programs and one font conversion utility. The programs can be found in /usr/sbin.
The installation program installpcfonts lets you install Adobe Font Pack fonts from 3.5" IBM PC format floppy disks. See the installpcfonts(1) man page for information on this program.
The installation program installfoliofonts lets you install Adobe FontFolio fonts from CD-ROM. See the installfoliofonts(1) man page for information on this program.
The font conversion utility unixfont lets you convert Adobe Type 1 font files between various formats. See the unixfont man page for information on this utility.
