About This Guide

Your IRIX™ software includes two control panels.

The Video Panel lets you control the signals sent by video devices connected to your workstation. See Chapter 2, “Video Panel.”

The Audio Control Panel lets you set the volume, sampling rate, and other audio parameters. See Chapter 3, “Audio Control Panel” for information on how to use the Audio Control Panel.

In addition, this guide contains Appendix A, “Video Control Panel for Indigo Workstations,” which describes the Video Control Panel that ships with Indigo workstations and with Indigo workstations with IndigoVideo installed.

The Glossary defines video and audio terms that may be unfamiliar to you.

This guide assumes that you are familiar with the IRIX system software and the terminology that describes it. If this is not the case, please refer to IRIS Essentials for general instructions on how to use the system.
