The update includes the following:
Support for SGI Altix XE.
Support for DMF client commands on Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) 4 on ia32 and x86_64 systems.
Rewritten dmls, dmfind, and dmdu commands, which are now available on all clients.
Enhanced performance for the following:
File recall use direct I/O
Enhanced CPU thread scheduling using system pthread scheduling
Reduced CPU usage on SGI ProPack via improved checksum calculation
Changes to the configuration file to support direct I/O for recalls and migrations:
Removal of the DISK_IO_SIZE parameter from the disk MSP, FTP MSP, and drive group stanzas
Addition of the BUFFERED_IO_SIZE parameter to the filesystem and DCM stanzas
Addition of the DIRECT_IO_SIZE parameter to the DCM stanza
Moving of the MIN_DIRECT_SIZE from the disk MSP, FTP MSP, and drive group stanza to the filesystem and DCM stanzas
Moving of the DIRECT_IO_MAXIMUM_SIZE parameter from the filesystem stanza to the base stanza
