This version provides corrections to the previous version of this manual, which supported DMF 3.8 and included the following:
Support for SGI Altix XE.
Rewritten dmls, dmfind, and dmdu commands, which are now available on all clients.
Enhanced performance for the following:
Enhanced CPU thread scheduling using system pthread scheduling
Reduced CPU usage on SGI ProPack via improved checksum calculation
Changes to the configuration file to support direct I/O for downward migrations:
Removal of the DISK_IO_SIZE parameter from the disk MSP, FTP MSP, and drive group stanzas
Addition of the BUFFERED_IO_SIZE parameter to the filesystem and DCM stanzas
Addition of the DIRECT_IO_SIZE parameter to the DCM stanza
Moving of the MIN_DIRECT_SIZE from the disk MSP, FTP MSP, and drive group stanza to the filesystem and DCM stanzas
Moving of the DIRECT_IO_MAXIMUM_SIZE parameter from the filesystem stanza to the base stanza
