Text:The REACT Real-Time Programmer's Guide describes the real- time facilities of IRIX, called REACT, as well as the optional REACT/Pro extensions. The guide describes how to control the CPU workload, optimize disk I/O, and manage device interactions and user-level interrupts. Additionally, it describes how to use the REACT/Pro Frame Scheduler to structure a real-time program as a group of cooperating processes efficiently scheduled on one or more isolated CPUs.
