Text:This guide describes the Network Load Balancing Software, which runs on CHALLENGE, Origin 200, Origin 2000, Origin 300, Origin 350, Origin 3000, Onyx2, and Onyx4 systems running IRIX 6.5 or later. The Network Load Balancing Software lets you consolidate Ethernet ports into a single IP address. It also optimizes performance by determining and setting the load balance for input and output packets. The Network Load Balancing Software 2.2 release adds support for static trunking that allows it to interoperate with switches that support static trunking. This manual explains configuring, testing, and monitoring the Network Load Balancing Software network connection.
